 Have you ever wondered or thought about why it is so hard or difficult to talk to people about church and to convince them that church is even more important to mankind than food, water or oxygen? I would like to paint you a picture….using words and appropriate Bible scriptures. First of all…let me tell you that I love the Church! I know that salvation is more important to me than life itself! I love truth and the Word of God is truth!

In II Corinthians 11:14, the Bible tells us that Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light or a preacher, evangelist, prophet or a pastor, It also tells us that many will be deceived! The Devil has had plenty of time to study mankind. He may watch you for several years before you finally get to a position in life where he can attack you. The Bible says that Satan attacks at his own will, (when he is ready). Satan (according to the Bible) also has many helpers. You can be recruited as a helper by letting thoughts that you should not have enter into your thinking. As long as you don’t repeat the thought vocally, it doesn’t take effect; however, once you tell someone that thought that Satan gave you it comes to life and starts causing confusion and division. At that moment you have started helping Satan with his work!

While studying the scriptures…you will find that Elders are a very important part that goes into the make-up of the church! True Bible qualified Elders are called of the Lord. They are pillars in the Church! They are appointed by the Lord! When the pillars of the Church move…the whole building or body moves. I was actually in Church several years before I received the revelation of the importance of Elders. God knows what he’s doing! When the Lord is in the process of building a Church, he hand selects each member and jointly fits them together as it pleases him to make-up the body of the Church. When a false prophet or preacher goes into a church and starts running Elders and Saints off, he is guilty of sowing discord and withstanding God! No wonder some of them have so many health problems and afflictions! This is the body of Christ or the Bride! When the Lord does something…he does it right!

For the Church or body of Christ to function normally and to produce the results the Lord intended for it to do…all the body parts have to be in place. If they are not, then they are unable to reproduce healthy children. As it is with the family, it is also with the Church! The Lord formed Adam and Eve and they were to reproduce and populate the earth. The same holds true with the Church. The Lord wants the Church to reproduce and a healthy Church will bear or produce many healthy children. If the Church is unhealthy…the children will be likewise! That’s one of the many reasons why we don’t see all the miracles in the Church today that we saw during Peter, John and Paul’s time.

A Pastor, Preacher, or Prophet is known by the fruit they bear. If you study the Bible...you will find that a child takes on the personality of it's parents and is a product of it's environment. The Bible tells us that if a prophet prophesies and the prophecy doesn’t come to pass when he said it would…then he is a false prophet! You can find out what happened to false prophets by reading the book of Jeremiah. In most cases, false prophets are on a mission. They are very clever! They are actually Angels of light and they are working for Satan! Generally…one of the first things they will do is attack the Elders or pillars of the Church and run them off. Satan knows that if he can get read of the Elders, he can control the flock! He always makes it look like it’s the sheep’s fault. He goes through the flock one by one and tries to re-indoctrinate them or win them over to his way of thinking after he gets read of the Elders. He always makes himself look good and the sheep to appear disobedient or foolish. They are very deceptive to the point that in our words…they are: "slicker that a hot buttered eel!" He knows exactly what the people want to hear and that’s what he tells them. That’s why the Bible says “whoa to the false prophet! The Bible also says that if you follow the blind…you all fall into the ditch together. That’s why it is so very important that you read your Bible every day and pray and fast!

The Bible says that we are to be obedient to the Holy Ghost and drawn by the spirit of God. I haven’t found one place in the Bible where it tells me that the flesh leads the spirit. The Bible tells us to submit ourselves to the spirit (holy ghost) We are not our own, we have been purchased with a price. Our body of flesh is to be a temple for the holy ghost! When you start yielding yourself to the flesh is when you get into trouble! Doesn’t the Bible say that mankind (flesh) is desperately wicked and there’s no good in any of us except we are filled with the holy ghost!

This is more than likely the major reason we have so much trouble getting people to listen to us when we talk to them about the Bible. There have been so many new converts as well as Saints and Elders that have been offended and hurt by the adversary.  Some are still wounded and some have scars that they've had for years.  I want to be like the "Good Samaritan" and encourage them...put some wine and oil in their wounds and bind them up so the Lord can heal them. I want to encourage them to not give up...the Lord has not given up on you!  He's using someone that's rooted and grounded in the "Bible Truth" to continue reaching for you and praying for you everyday!  You have seen and heard so many false teachers and seen so many people that claim to be Christians that do everything that everyone else does….that you're turned off when you try to talk to them about the Bible. What you actually see is a bunch of hypocrites. We all need to be good examples and have our hearts filled with the "love of God." Sinners and backsliders can feel the presence of God when we talk to them and pray for them if we are genuine!
