Birth of the Denominal Churches

Have you ever wondered how or why we have so many different churches and so many different forms of religion in the world today? Any form of worship or religion that is not based on the bible truth is false! You can have part truth, but not the whole truth! That puts you onto a quick path to destruction! I know this might sound hard and strict but, it’s the truth anyway! Let’s turn to the 6^th chapter of John. This was where Jesus spoke the truth to his disciples (originally about 70 of them). They said it was too hard for them to receive, and they departed from him (about 60 of them) and walked no more with him.

Then we go to 1^st John 2:19 (specifically) however; the whole chapter is relative. It tells us that they went out from us, but they were not of us! For if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us. They were rebellious, stiff necked, hard headed and stubborn. So, all these other religions and churches which don’t teach and preach the whole bible truth were born out of a spirit of rebellion! Galatians 1:8 . The Apostle Paul tells us that whoever (it does not matter who) teaches or preaches any other gospel, let him be accursed! If you want to be able to weather the “storms of life” you need a solid foundation. That foundation is “Christ Jesus.”

We are not always right, but if we build our original foundation on “bible truth,” then the Lord will add to us over the years and we can become mighty through Christ Jesus! If you have a solid foundation (lets compare it to building a structural building) you can continually add to it. Where the foundation is faulty or has not been properly built, it won’t hold when stress is applied or the “storms of Life” beat upon it! We have to be open and submissive to the spirit of the Lord! The word “denominal” comes from the root word “dominate,” which means to control! Does that tell you anything? That is the “Spirit” that has crept into our society through time! The whole duty of the adversary is to weary the saints! That’s why bible truth is so important. Through bible truth there is strength! It gives you understanding and helps to equip you for “spiritual warfare.” That’s why it is so difficult or such a task to get people to read their bibles on a consistant basis! The adversary knows that reading the bible arms you against him and he will do everything he can to prevent you from reading your bible. We need not only read the bible, we also need to know beyond a reasonable doubt what the scriptures mean. We need to pray before we read, that the Lord will open up our understanding to the scriptures!

I invite you to turn to Ephesians 4:5-6.  If you will read this scripture...it tells us that there is (1) One God, (2) One Faith, (3) One Baptism and (4) One Spirit!  Now, if you believe the Bible as it pertains to Salvation...this scripture leads us to believe that each "Truth Believing" church should be teaching, preaching and believing the same "doctrine." We should Not be running about teaching all these different ways to be saved. If you're part of the "True Church", there won't be any division in the doctrine or belief that you teach and the "Original Apostolic Doctrine" that was taught after Calvary. Nothing is more pleasing to the Lord...than that there be "Unity" amongst the brethern!
