It's Harvest Time!
The Lord has spoken in times past about "The Harvest" and I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Lord of the "Harvest." He said that as long as the earth remains, it will be seedtime or a time of planting. Whether it's hot or cold, winter or summer, day or night...the "Harvest" continues. It will not cease until the last sheath is gathered! Genesis 8:22. In the "New Testament," we find that Jesus told his disciples that, "The harvest is plentiful (there are many lost souls still out in the fields) but the workers are few. Therefore, pray to the Lord of the "Harvest" to send out more workers or laborers into the fields. Matthew 9:37-38, Amos 4:7, Luke 10:2 and John 4:35. We understand that in the "natural" the harvest is seasonal and, so it has been in the kingdom of God. In Amos 4:7, Amos 8 (complete chapter) the scriptures let us know that the "Lord of the Harvest" always sent a rain...generally three months before harvest. This was to bring the grain to fruitition or to it's fullest potential. The rain was sent to geographical areas where the people had been faithful and obedient to God's word! Everyone did not have a good harvest. There was drought in some areas. Some cities will have revival and some will have famine! God has not changed! The same judgment that was pronounced upon Israel can and very probably will be pronounced upon the gentiles. There will come a time when this people (gentiles) will look and search for and want to hear from a man of God but, they won't be able to find one. He (God) is the same yesterday, today and forever. God's word is forever settled and will never change! However; as we approach the "last days," I feel that there will be a "gleaning" of the fields and the crop to be harvested will be "Summer Fruit." The harvest may look small, but consider the parable of the "loaves and the fishes"! Matthew 14:19. I want you to remember that the Lord can take a "little" and make much out of it. This endtime harvest of "Summer Fruit" is HUGE! I want you to know that my God is merciful, patient, kind, long-suffering and full of grace! He will not walk away from one sinner or backslider without giving them a chance!
We know that the "Summer Fruit" is very perishable and requires special attention because it is over-ripe. This is the last fruit of the season! It is easily bruised! (People are so easily offended and hurt) and they don't know who they can trust. However; the Lord desires the "Summer Fruit" because it is so delectible! It is sweeter, jucier and has a better fravor than ordinary fruit. It's precious because it has been a long-time out in the weather...exposed to and battling the elements of the world. It has scars from the cycle of life it's been through. The scars have caused the meat of the fruit to become very tender and sensitive...thus requiring appropriate care and handling. In II Samuel 16:2, Ziba told the king that the bread and "Summer Fruit" was for the young men to eat. Why? Because the young men were the "soldiers" or "warriors." Many times they were wounded in battle! They had to be strong and healthy. When they were wounded...they had to make speedy recoveries, sometimes overnight. They required an enormous amount of energy and resilience! "Summer Fruit" contained an immense amount of fiber and carbohydrates. Therefore, the "Summer Fruit" is part of the makeup or diet of the kingdom of God! The kingdom of God would be incomplete without this very important ingredient! In Amos 8:1, thus hath the Lord shewed unto me : and behold a basket of "Summer Fruit." Then, we find another revelation in Amos 8:2. It's amazing how the Lord has reserved some of these revelations until the "latter days" or the appropriate time. I'm telling you, my God is an "on-time God!" And he (God) said, Amos, what seest thou? And Amos answered, "A basket of Summer Fruit." I would like for you to pay particular attention to the remainder of this verse. Then the Lord said unto me, the end has come upon my people (Israel). I will not again pass by them anymore. Even as the Lord passed Israel by and came unto the gentiles, I believe that he will leave the gentiles and return to Israel. I believe the end of the "Harvest" of the "Summer Fruit" will mark the "Fullness of Time" for the gentiles! Come on Church, we've come too far to quit or turn back. There's a mighty harvest that's waiting to be gathered which is about to perish! Do not let yourself get distracted by the adversary! That's why so many things which we don't understand are going wrong! Everything that can be shook is being shaken. The devil would like to get us off track and will use any means he has available to accomplish that. Keep on praying and fasting! Be faithful to the "House of God" and in your prayers, tithes and offerings, fastings, etc. It's time for "Unity" like never before because that gives the Church strength. In Proverbs 10:5, we find that a person who sleepth through the "Harvest" brings shame. That's another message!
In closing, I would like to say that when you participate in the "Harvest" and you help bring in the crop...there is great joy! You can anticipate a great celebration which will last throughout eternity. The Lord of the Harvest (Jesus) has been sending laborers even throughout all generations. Why don't you earnestly pray to the "Lord of the Harvest" that he will lead you to souls that are hungry for truth? These will be people that you will be able to take to heaven with you and spend eternity with! The Lord spoke to me in a recent service and said: "I, the Lord of the Harvest ask you...where are the laborers that I have called? Where is the "UNITY" among the brethern? When ALL of the members of my body are unified even as ONE, and there is no division in the body of my church, (the bride)...then will I open the gates to the fields and the "True Harvest" will begin. A generation was considered at one time to be forty years;however, in modern times the average age has increased to 66-70 years. If you take that into consideration and go back to 1948 (Matthew 24:32) when Israel became a nation...a generation would put us up to 2008-2018 (maximum). The Bible says (as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the days of the coming of the son of man). Noah preached to his generation for over a hundred years while he was building the Ark and they refused to hear him! He told them that the flood was coming and there was going to be judgment! Matthew 24:36-39. So, you can see that we are standing on the doorstep to the rapture or the catching-up of the Church! Church...let's bind together in prayer, fasting and the labor of this harvest and make it a great success. Let's put this flesh aside and let God be God!
