The Keys to The Kingdom of Heaven

Peter, do you love me? Do you love me enough to repent of all your sins with Godly sorrow in your heart? Do you love me enough to lay aside all carnality and to be transformed or converted into a genuine child of God? This is the question that Jesus confronted Peter with! I want to demonstrate to you...beyond a reasonable doubt through the Bible scriptures what is required to enter into the Kingdom of God. Matthew 16:19. This is very serious and requires a genuine “lifetime” commitment! There is always a reason or purpose for what the Lord does. In Peter's case....Peter is the one that Jesus chose to deliver or reveal “Salvation” to the gentiles. According to the Bible, anyone that isn't a Jew is a Gentile. So, Jesus picked someone that he knew would be able to deliver what he wanted to be revealed to the gentiles (us). St. John 14:15, 21:15-17.

Jesus gave Peter the keys to the “Kingdom of God”, and he said I will build my church on this rock! There are three integral parts to the kingdom of God. One part compliments the next part. Each key has to be used in conjunction with the next key. The first key is: (1) Repentance with Godly sorrow in your heart. That means that you're sorry in your heart for sinning against God. It does not mean that you're sorry for getting caught! (2) You must be baptized in Jesus' name for the remission (forgiveness) of your sins. Baptized means to be totally and completely submerged in water. (3) and ye shalt receive the gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the “Spirit of God” gives the utterance. These three ingredients are the very foundation and/or rock that Jesus said he would build his church on. Acts 2:38. He used Peter to reveal this to the gentiles! Another scripture says that there is no other name under heaven given whereby man must be saved! Acts 2:38 is the only scripture in the Bible for our dispensation of time that tells us step-by-step what we must do to enter into the kingdom of God! There are no short-cuts! If you enter any other way, you'll be counted as a thief and a robber and cast into outer darkness. Jesus is the door that we must pass through to enter into the kingdom of God.

You see...when the Lord chose Peter, Peter hadn't been converted yet. The Holy Ghost had not be given out yet and that is the very power that converts or changes us from what we were to what the Lord desires us to be. Romans 8:9 says that if we don't have the Holy Ghost...we are none of his.(Gods). On resurrection morning, when the trumpet sounds...(the Holy Ghost) is the resurrecting power that will take us out of this world and if we don't have it...we're not going anywhere until the “white throne judgment.”
